Radial Designs
Below are a few student examples of completed radial designs from two years ago. The students learned about symmetry and radial symmetry and how these concepts occur in nature. We looked at examples from different time periods and from various cultures around the globe and how they used symmetry to create beautiful artwork. Students created a line drawing of a radial design and then applied color using knowledge of color theory. You might notice certain colors are more dominant or grab your attention more.
